Carbon Fiber Plates/Sheets
Capabilites:
- Flat plates up to 2x4 feet
- Cut to shape / drilling
- Aerospace industry standard Toray T300 carbon fiber, Fiberglass, carbon/kevlar hybrids, and kevlar fabrics
- Thermoset resins including epoxy, polyester, isophthalic polyester, vinyl ester, and UV stabilized polyester
- Core materials including balsa, Coremat, aluminum and Nomex honeycomb
- Vacuum molded parts (tooling charges apply)
- Minimum labor charge is only $15
- Solid plate thicknesses from 0.0085" to 0.5"
- Rolled tubing from 2 to 5" diameter and 0.015 to 0.060" wall thickness
- Cosmetic surface finishes
Sorry but I do not currently process prepregs. All parts are wet layup or vacuum bagged. I use PAN based fibers which are not suitable for high temperature or thermal insulation applications.
Common plate sizes are 4 layers of carbon (.050" thick) and 4 layers of carbon sandwiching Coremat (.130" thick). For thin decorative sheets see the veneers page.
